Skool Video Downloader ("the Extension") is a browser extension that helps users download videos embedded on Skool.com pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

The Extension:

• Does not collect browsing history, personal information, or usage analytics
• Does not use cookies or tracking technologies
• Does not transmit any data to external servers owned or operated by us
• Does not require user accounts or sign-ups

Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following browser permissions, each for a specific functional purpose:

• activeTab To scan the currently active Skool.com page for embedded videos when you click the extension icon
• storage To temporarily cache detected video metadata locally in your browser during a session
• downloads To save downloaded video files to your device
• offscreen To process video streams (HLS segment merging) in a background document
• scripting To inject the video detection script into Skool.com pages

Host Permissions

The Extension requests access to the following domains solely to detect and download video content embedded on Skool.com:

• skool.com — To scan pages for embedded video players
• loom.com / loomcdn.com — To resolve and download Loom video streams
• vimeo.com / vimeocdn.com — To resolve and download Vimeo video streams
• wistia.com / wistia.net — To resolve and download Wistia video streams
• b-cdn.net — To access Skool's native video CDN

Network requests to these domains are made only when you actively click "Download" on a detected video. No background network activity occurs.

Local Storage

The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to temporarily store a list of detected videos on the current page. This data:

• Contains only video metadata (title, platform, URL)
• Is stored locally in your browser only
• Is overwritten each time you navigate to a new page
• Is never transmitted externally

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services. All processing happens locally in your browser.

User Rights

Since we do not collect any data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. You can uninstall the Extension at any time to remove all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
